TRANSITIONS OF FORCE AND RELAXATION IN A HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTOR LEVITATION SYSTEM
Since the discovery of the high-temperature superconductors, the levitated magnet has become a symbol of the new technology of superconductivity, and the interaction between a permanent magnet and a high-temperature superconductor has been a subject of considerable interest for the last two decades. In this article,we describe investigations of both vertical levitation force and horizontal guidance force components, including their relaxation characteristics with time under different initial cooling conditions.Transition phenomena of these forces and their relaxations with time are found in the experiments.
