THE EFFECT OF NON-UNIFORM ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD ON METALLIC HEAT CONDUCTION

Electronic transport properties can be influenced under the electromagnetic fields in metallic materials,on account of the characteristic of metallic free electron gas,on this basis a law of heat conduction is suggested from Boltzmann equation for electromagnetic medium materials.The form of the equation reveals that the electromagnetic teams coexists with that of temperature gradient,so non-uniform electromagnetic fields have influence on the process of the heat conduction and the spacial distribution of the temperature directly.Taking aluminous material subjected to temperature gradient in non-uniform electromagnetic fields as a sample of one dimension,the results validate that existence of non-uniform electric field can increase or decrease the heat conduction respectively,under the fact that the direction of electric gradient is the same as the heat conductive direction or different from that; with the existence of electric field,the non-uniform transverse magnetic field can also increase or decrease the process of heat conduction.Furthermore,we investigate the mechanic behaviors of finite metallic plate in non-uniform electric field and transverse impulse magnetic field,and specifically analysis changes of the eddy current distribution,as the result of the effect of non-uniform electric field on the free electrons of metallic surface,finally the distribution of temperature field and the stress field are different from the results of classical heat conduction equation in metallic surface,that result in the differences on dynamical characteristics and other mechanic behaviors in metallic plate.
