MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS ON STEEL PLATE JOINT OF CONCRETE-FILLED SQUARE STEEL TUBULAR COLUMN WITH SRC BEAM
The mechanical behavior of a new steel plate joint consisting of concrete-filled square steel tubular column with SRC beam was studied by the finite element method. The result shows that the joint has excellent integrality, large initial stiffness, favorable ductility deformation and capability, and can easily transmitbeam moment. Also, the joint shows long yield platform and has very little fall of capacity after yield. Both panel zones and column show little deformation. In the damage process, plastic angle moves away from joint where brittle destruction is avoided. Thus, the joint has super seismic resistance performance.
