The Failure of Doha Signals the Demise of Globalization
The past 25 years of globalization coincided with the promotion of multilateral trade,but now both the developing and developed nations turn their interests elsewhere.In this paper,we will put forward that the deadlock at the Doha round signals the end of an era.Neither the developing nations nor the developed ones are making efforts to reach middle ground at Doha.As a result,the WTO could become another failed international institution,with nations continuing to pursue selfish rather than global interests.
