Research on the Measurement Model for Organizational Learning Capability
This paper developed a measurement model for organizational learning capability,which was based on literature review of recent research about organizational learning capability measurement,and seven evaluation dimensions and fifty-one concrete items were designed to measure the organizational learning capability,which covered areas from the research:vision and mission,leadership commitment and empowerment,experimentation and innovation,knowledge share and experience learning,teamwork,systematic problem solving,and scanning.Data from four heterogeneous China steel companies confirmed the theoretieal model,and research indicated that the organizationallearning capability was similar among those fonr steel companies on those characteristics and suggested that there were clear patterns in the learning capabilities of those four companies,which could be use of to managers those wishing to improve their organizational learning capability and provided the basis of further analysis of relevant areas of organizational learning capability.
