Create Sustainable Development System in Production-Simulation and Modeling
Sustainable development has achieved widespread acceptance throughout the world as an appropriate goal for humankind. While,it is also has proved that there are lots of difficulty due in part to an inherent conflict between the ecological, social and economic dimensions contained within contemporary interpretations of sustainable development. Correspondingly, this paper seeks to establish a practical definition of the term sustainable development, and then relate it to a companys performance.Simulation and modeling tools are applied to gain a holistic view of sustainable development. A study of the activities associated with a metal casting company, which includes production, transportation and recycling, to, is used to provide the supports. In the simulation model, scenarios are investigated. From the case study, various sustainability indicators are highlighted.
