Bullwhip Effect in a Two Stage Supply Chain with ARMA(1,1) Demand

摘要：

This paper analytically examines the bullwhip effect in a two stage supply chain with ARMA (1,1) demand. It quantifies the bullwhip effect in a supply chain with ARMA(1,1) demand. The further analysis given in this paper reveals when and how the order quantity fluctuation can be reduced by demand process parameters. The comparison analysis between ARMA(1,1) demand and AR(1)demand demonstrates the condition under which the order quantity fluctuation relevant to ARMA(1,1)demand is smaller than that relevant to AR(1) demand.
