Research on Information Cost of Logistics
Average logistics cost in developed countries account for 10 percentage of the whole cost,while that in our country is twice as high as in developed countries. It is due to dissymmetry or imperfectness of logistics information, that is high information cost of logistics. Intra-company logistics information is not shared and is not delivered on time, logistics information is not delivered on time within the company, and information between companies and customs is dissymmetric, which lead to improving logistics cost such as cost of storing, transportation and management. Besides low informalization, irrationalness of management model, incorrectness of management solutions, problems of commercial secret, immodesty, mismatch of information techniques, and low specialization in logistics also cause dissymmetry or imperfectness of logistics information. To settle high logistics cost completely, dissymmetry or imperfectness of logistics information should be cut down to reduce information cost of logistics.
