An Empirical Study of the Impact of International Experience on the Export Performance

The present paper explores the relationship between international experience and export performance in the context of China. Results suggest that size, the length of international experience and the international experience of top management team (TMT) have significant impact on export performance. Different from the extant work, the result shows an inverse U shape relationship between the length of international experience and export performance. To some extent, this fmding explains the inconsistent conclusions in existing research.
