International Trade and Sustainable Development
Sustainable development is a hot topic in acdemic field now. And one focus of sustainable development is income distribution. It is true that more and more economists agree that international trade and openness should not have negative impact on income distribution. The purpose of this paper is to use statistical methods of Time Series to analyze the relationship between trade balance, real GDP and income equality. The main result is that the trade balance does not have impact on income distribution.Even if it does, the effect is very small and can be neglected. So it is unreasonable for the U.S.government to attribute its domestic social problem to its international trade deficit with China.
