FDTD Investigation on Electromagnetic Scattering from the PEC Cylinder above Two-Layered Rough Surfaces

A finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) approach for electromagnetic scattering characteristic fromA 2-D infinitely long PEC cylinder above two-layered 1-D randomly rough surfaces is presented. The statistical average of the bistatic scattering cross section is computed based on the Monte Carlo simulations for the different polarizations.The numerical results show that the roughness and dielectric constant of two-layered surfaces have a significant effect on the composite scattering cross section.
