Stickles Removal from OCC by Steam Explosion

摘要：

The object of this work was to evaluate the optimal process conditions of stickles removal from Old Corrugated Container(OCC)by steam explosion.The parameters discussed by single-factor tests were: solid-liquor ratio,explosion pressure,heat preservation time,and the charges of sodium hydrate and sodium silicate.The evaluation indexes were the contents of macrostickies and dissolved and colloidal substances(DCS)in the exploded pulp.Simultaneously,the paper physical strengths of OCC were analyzed.The optimal explosion conditions were achieved as follows:solidliquor ratio 1:4,explosion pressure 0.7MPa,heat preservation time 10min,sodium hydrate charge 2％,sodium silicate charge 1％.The steam explosion pulping was desirable in removing stickles from OCC.
