The Influence of Flow Characteristics in Deinking Cell on Fiber Loss
The primary mechanism of fiber loss was physical entrainment.Flow characteristics within a flotation deinking cell affected water carry over and fiber entraining. The effects of pulp suspension flow and aeration flow on wet reject and fiber loss were studied in a laboratory flotation cell. The role of suspension jet impingement and aeration on flow turbulence, back mixing, froth production and rolling were discussed to explain wet reject and fiber loss under various flow conditions.
