Preliminary Research on the Deinking Ability of Column Flotation
Column flotation is a new de-inking device used in fiber recycling while it has been used in mineral flotation from 1880s.The object of this paper is to discuss the de-inking feasibility of a set of experimental flotation columns with the help of a self-built flotation control system.Some basic works about the running capability of this system,for example,the factors which affect the gas holdup of column and the bubble diameters were researched and estimated.Then further study based on the above experiments was done about the de-inking results under different pulp flow and air flow.At last,contrastive experiments between column flotation and cell flotation under the almost same operation conditions were done.This paper showed that gas flow played the most important factor on the gas holdup of column and better de-inking result could be achieved by column flotation than normal cell.
