IMPACT BUCKLING OF FGM TRUNCATED CONICAL SHELLS WITH GEOMETRIC IMPERFECTION

Dynamic buckling of functionally graded materials truncated conical shellssubjected to radial impact loads is discussed in this paper. In the analysis, thematerial properties of functionally graded materials shells are assumed to be gradedin the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of thevolume fractions of the constituents.Geometrically nonlinear large deformation andthe initial imperfections are taken into account.Galerkin procedure and Runge-Kuttaintegration scheme are used to solve nonlinear governing equations numerically.Andthen from the characteristics of dynamic response obtain critical loads of the shell inaccordance with B-R criterion.
