Study on the Application of DEA on Performance Evaluation of Chinese Listed Port Companies

摘要：

With the rapid development of international trade in recent years, port companies have played a key role in national economic development in China. Port companies should do their best to improve their performance in order to meet the need of the rapid development of the economy. By making use of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), this paper evaluates the performance efficiencies of Chinese listed port companies. Both operational abilities and profitable abilities are compared. In comparison, pure technical efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency are calculated. On the basis of comparison,some suggestions to Chinese listed port companies are put forward to help them to improve their performance.
