Research of Port Handling Capacity in the Operational Phase Based on Queuing Theory
At present the researches of port handling capacity mainly in port design stage,but there were very few researches in operation stage.Regarding the process of berthing alongside,slipping from alongside,and handling as M/M/C queuing system,we have set up the model of M/M/C to describe the port handling capacity in operation stage.The model can analyze the port handling capacity,inspect port operation situation,and provide reference for the development of the port.Using operation stage port capacity queuing theory model,we discover that the handling capacity of Yangshan Port is surplus and the load is somewhat low,which needs to pay attention to.
