An Analysis of Direct Government Scientific and Technological Financing in Different Provinces of China
After analyzing the motivation and the impact of direct government scientific and technological financing,the paper pays great emphasis on the businesses(in different provinces)different competitiveness in acquiring direct government scientific and technological funds and their different dependence on such funds.With the carrying out of a regression analysis on the relations between government scientific and technological financing and private scientific and technological expenditures,the paper further argues that in general in most provinces there exists a significant positive relation between the above two.That is,the government scientific and technological investment can effectively stimulate that of private investment although there do exist some provinces where the government scientific and technological investment crowds out that of the private.
