Impact of GABA and GABAA Receptor to Morphinism Rats on the Traumatic Information Transmission of Nerve Center

GABA and GABAA receptors are critical in controlling neuronal activity. Here,we examined the impact of GABA on the electrophysiology of pain-excited neurons (PEN) in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) in the central nervous system of morphinism rats.Intracerebroventricular (icv) and the NAc injection, electrical pulse stimulation and Glass microelectrode extracellular recordings methods were used in the experiment.Corresponding liquids were injected into cerebral ventricles or NAc,nociceptive pain stimulus was stimulated by electrical pulse in stimulating right sciatic nerve. The varieties of neuron electric activity were recorded by extracellular recordings methods. The Results showed that injection of GABA into icy as well as NAc could cause the decrease of the pain-evoked discharge frequency and the prolongation of latency of PEN.However, icy injection of GABAA-receptor antagonist (Bicuculline,Bic) could interdict the effects of GABA induced.Together, these results suggest that exogenous GABA plays an inhibitory effect in central pain regulation.GABA and GABAA receptor participate and mediate in the central traumatic information transmission process.
