Affordance Performance of Electric Wheelchair with Force-Feedback Joystick

Recently,a lot of traffic accidents of thge electric wheelchair is a serious problem.A sufficient rear environmental recognition is enumerated as one of its causes.Therefore,this paper focus on force as one of the effective information presentation method such as imagesor sounds,and proposes an information transmission system using a force-feedback joystick mounted on the electric wheelchair.The force-feedback joystick warns a dangerous of the rear side by the vibration.To confirm the effectiveness of the collision prevention command by vibration of the force feedback joystick,we executed the questionnaire and propose the index to evaluate the usefulness quantitatively.
