The Influences of the Location of Electrodes in Electro-oculogram
We analyzed how the detection of EOG depends on the distance from the center of the eyeball or the angle from the front vision. We used the battery model of the eye for the calculation of EOG where we assumed the positive pole for the cornea of the eyeball and the negative pole for the retina. As a result, the farther the location of electrodes is far from the surface of the eyeball, the less the value of EOG is measured. On the surface of the cornea of the eyeball,EOG marked the electric potential of approximately 65mV,which was a close value compared to the constant electric potential of the eyeball. Moreover,if we change the location of electrodes on the face near the eyeball, the closer the electrodes approach to the imaginary line that extends from the eyeball straight to the front, the bigger the measured value of EOG becomes but the smaller it becomes in a drastic manner on the line.
