Monitoring of lung air volume for patients with ventilator using electrical impedance tomography
Electrical impedance tomography is a feasible technique for the non-invasive measurement of lung air volume.Monitoring of partial lung air volume was tried for seven days in one patient who had sever single pneumonia to show feasibility of the EIT technique for clinical diagnosis by following disease recovery by comparison with X-ray photography.Changes in partial lung air volume measured by EIT had been well matched with clinical diagnosis using X-ray photography.
