Developmental Activity Changes in P19EC-derived Neurons Cultured on Microelectrode Array
One of the major problems in regenerative medicine is its difficulty in evaluation of differentiation process of undifferentiated cells. In this study,P19 embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells were cultured on 64-embedded microelectrode arrays (MEA) and were differentiated into neuronal tissues by application of retinoic acid. The major advantage of MEA system is its noninvasiveness which allow long-term recording of excitable cells.Developmental changes in electrical properties and intracellular Ca2+ oscillations in Pl9EC-derived neuronal tissues during differentiation processes were obtained and analyzed.
