Causal Connectivity Analysis for Functional Near-infrared Spectroscopy(fNIRS) in Prefrontal Cortical Network Study

Brain network modeling is m the biggest challenge in fNIRS data analysis.This paper presents a new data-driven analysis approach that applies the Granger causality(GC).This new method is applied to the analysis of fNRIS study of a high-motivationGKT(Guilty Knowledge Test.The network of prefrontal cortex(PFC),supported by temporal and causality relationships,was found.The results have confirmed the validity of the proposed method,and seem promising for the detection of cognitive causal relationships in fNRIS data.
