Detecting the piRNA in human genome by random forest model using combined features
PiRNAs(Piwi-interacting RNA)associated with Piwi-subfamily members of the Argonaute protein family are a novel class of 26-32 nucleotide small single strand RNAs,which are recently isolated from testes of the mammals.PiRNAs are essential for physiological modulation of spermiogenesis and different from miRNA or siRNA in functions, gene distributions and characteristics.By the sequencing technology,piRNAs show distinctive localization patterns in the genome being predominantly grouped into 20-90 kilobase clusters. There are 76618 piRNAs in mouse genome,66758 piRNAs in rat genome,32046 piRNAs in human genome and 987 piRNAs in D.melanogaster genome found so far.On account of the less conservation of piRNAs between species,in this article the aim facused on the human piRNAs research. And according to the different lengths of piRNAs,seven prediction models were built by the arithmetic of random forest using the features of sequence and minimum free energy(MFE).
