The Preliminary Investigation of the Relationship between the Shift of Salivary Cortisol and Individual Personality under Stress
This study investigated the relationship between the shift of salivary cortisol and different individual personality under stress.Subjects were 10 graduates undergoing a 20-min speech. The salivary samples were assayed by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography-fluorimetric detection(RP-HPLC-FIu).Subjects completed the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)two weeks later. The preliminary results showed that the shift of the salivary cortisol in the effective stressor may be associated with the neuroticism scale from the EPQ.
