Effects of walking on physical function, blood and GO/NO-GO tasks

The purpose of this study was to examine the physical functions, blood and prefrontal conditions while walking 5.5km.The subjects were 7 healthy male subjects who volunteered Concerning physical functions:at the beginning of the walk, the body temperature declined and the heart rates increased However,a tendency of a rise in body temperature and a fall in heart rates was seen.In addition after walking, although dopamine(8.1±0.8vs 13.0±1.9pg/ml; p<0.057),serotonin(0.047±0.006vs0.044±0.006μg/ml;p<0.68),cortisol(10.7±1.9vs10.7±2.20μg/dl;p<0.99),and IgA (independent grocers alliance)(23.8±4.6vs 17.6±4.3mg/dl;p<0.30)did not significantly differ, the increase of epinephrine(40.1±9.5vs 67.6±12.5pg/ml;p<0.013),norepinephrin(325.0±47.9 vs 395.9±63.3pg/ml;p<0.005),and NK cell(46.1±5.6vs 51.9±4.%;p<0.035)of blood differed significantly Furthermore, significant differences were seen in the reversal divide experiment:the response time (410.3±11.9vs372.8±8.0ms;p<0.01)was shorter and grasp error(4.4±1.0vs3.3±0.9;p<0.047)of GO/NO-GO tasks decreased.
