DYNAMIC LOCALIZATION DUE TO DEFECTS IN PERIODIC METAL HONEYCOMBS
In this paper,the effects of missing or fractured cell walls on the in-planedynamic crushing properties of the honeycombs are clarified.The influence of thedefect location on the dynamic response of the specimen is discussed,and its relianceto the impact velocity is clarified.The results show that different from the static orquasi-static situation,under the impact loading,the influence of the micro-defects isnot only determined by the missing rate,but also position dependence and affectedby the impact velocity.The increase of the impact velocity would weaken theinfluence of the position dependence.
