MICROCOSMIC DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DETONATION SOOT AND DEFLAGRATION PRODUCTS
We have synthesized novel zinc oxide nanometer powders via detonationreaction with respect to the presence of an energetic precursor,such as lithiumnitrate and zinc nitrate.The detonation products of emulsion explosives werecharacterized by scanning electron microscopy.Powder X-ray diffraction andtransmission electron microscopy were used to observe the structures.It isconcluded that the morphologies of products grown from detonation anddeflagration are different.The oxides produced by these methods can be used fordistinguishing explosive reaction styles of explosives.
