Research on Transmission Characteristics of Upswept-ridge Waveguide by the FEM
The finite element method is introduced to analyze the transmission characteristics of upswept-ridge waveguide,variations of the cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode and single-mode bandwidth with the ridge dimensions for different values are calculated,field patterns of the dominant mode and the first higher-order TE mode are also illustrated. Numerical resultsIn This article provide an extension to the existing design model of rectangular-ridge waveguides and considered to be helpfulInpractical applications.
