Dawn ofBrain-Science & XYZ:XYZ from the Social Sciences,the Humanities and the/Arts
The discipline of Mind,Brain and Education(MBE)aspires to achieve an understanding of ideal education through close collaboration between various academic disciplines.Although this new concept is close to neuro-education, it is meaningful that the three mainstays of Mind,Brain and Education are concurrently open to actual collaboration between the relevant disciplines,which have been specialized and segmented according to a popular trend towards reductionism.From the perspective of overview and integration,however,the concept of brain-science,which includes neuroscience,cognitive science,behavioral science and other brain-related disciplines,has emerged.Many new academic disciplines have emerged by bridging and fusing brain-science with the social sciences,the humanities and the arts.The concept of Brain-Science & XYZ refers to bi-directional research in the XYZ disciplines from a brain-science perspective and vice versa. According to this concept,new disciplines emerge through a process of Aufheben(Hegel)of both approaches.
