The Contributions Of Off-grid Wind Turbines In The Construction Of Remote Countryside
China has very large wind-energy potential. Suitable wind conditions for small-size wind generators application are found over 76％ of the total country’s area, mainly in the North, Northwest and Northeast, and in coastal areas of China. These regions of high wind-power potential largely coincide with those areas in China that do not have adequate electricity supply. Until now, there are still 1.5 millions of households, about 7 millions of people are living in the areas where transportation is not convenient, living scattered and electricity consumption capacity is very low, so the people live in those areas are urgently demanding to solve their electricity application problem by using off grid wind generators, wind pumps and photovoltaic cells. Recent economic reforms in China have produced a healthy and rapidly growing national economy. Many peasants, herdsmen, fishermen and others have experienced a rapid improvement in their standard of living, at present; they consider electrical household equipment as essential to their daily lives.
