A Heuristic Particle Swarm Optimization Method and Its Application in Power Network Planning
A heuristic particle swarm optimization(HPSO)is constructed based on the particle swarm optimization with passive congregation(PSOPC)and a harmony search(HS)scheme.According to the characters of power network planning,the HPSO algorithm handles the variable constraints using a “fly-back mechanism method,and then a HS scheme deals with the planning-problem constraints,therefore the particles can be kept in feasible field during the whole iteration procedure.Passive congregation is introduced in HPSO to improve particle’s evolutionism and its free search ability.The correctness of the proposed method is verified by the example of the 18-bus system,and the result shows that the HPSO algorithm relatively has good convergence in contrast to basic PSO and PSOPC.
