Finite Element Modal Updating of Shibanpo Bridge Using Experiment Test Results
The model of the newly constructed Bridge, with the longest main span(330 m)among the continuous rigid bridges,is built and updated by a technique developed by this paper using static and dynamic measurement data. The objective function is built up using the least-squares algorithm and the parameters are chosen mainly based on sensitivity. Then a technique based on the sensitivities of parameters and sequence quadratic programming(SQP)method is presented to update the model.A numeric simulation to the real bridge model demonstrates the parameters can converge to true values only after three times to recalculate the sensitivities. The prediction of the updated model by measurement data has achieved a good correlation with the experiment test results.
