Design and Application of MR Damper-based Control System with Electromagnetic Induction Part for Structural Control
This paper proposes the design procedure for MR dampers from considerations on optimization problems and magnetic analysis.The proposed design procedure for MR dampers consists of three design steps.According to the proposed design procedure,a four-stage MR damper has been finally manufactured.The effectiveness of the proposed design procedure has been verified from some testing using a servohydraulic universal testing machine.In addition,the integrated design method of an MR damper-based control system with an electromagnetic induction(EMI)part is preliminary investigated.
