Fabrication of Metalized Electrospun Copper Nanofibers

The development of high value added textile fibers have tremendously grown over the last decade.Today,a wide rage of nanoparticles and nano-structures can be immobilized on fibers,which brings new properties to the final clothing product.In this paper,copper particles were immobilized on polyurethane nanofiber films by a novel metalizing method.The polyurethane nanofibers are metalized with different thickness of copper nanolayers (50nm,100nm) which can be monitored.The resultant samples are characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD).The metalized structures also show excellent electro conductive properties.
