FRP Composites with High Specific Strength and Excellent Erosion Resistance
Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have been widely used in various engineering fields.When they are operating in erosion wear environments,the surface of these equipments will be impacted by the solid particles contained in the air,which destroy the materials.It is widely recognized that CF (Carbon Fiber) and GF (Glass Fiber) as reinforcement fiber can enhance the strength of matrix,but reduce the erosion resistance of matrix.In our study,we tried to use organic high-polymer fibers as reinforcement and gained new FRP materials with higher cost performance,high strength and excellent erosion resistance.
