The Influence of Corona Discharge to Durability of Water-repellence of Polyester Fabric
Surface modification is an important technique for materials,because it is effective to improve function of the fiber without changing its characteristics,and corona discharge is considered as one of the most popular technologies in this field.Corona discharge was used to modify the surface of fabric in this paper,and then the fabrics were treated by water-repellent finishing.The changes and reasons of mechanical property,surface chemistry performance and durability of fabric were discussed and analyzed.The experimental results show that the adhesion between water-repellent finishing and surface of fabric can be improved by corona discharge,and the durability of fabric can be enhanced obviously by this way.
