Preparation and Properties of Cellulose-based Porous Super-Adsorbent Polyelectrolyte Film
A porous super-absorbent polyelectrolyte film was obtained through grafting cellulose with acrylamide and acrylic acid in aqueous solution without N2 charging, using methylenediacrylamide as cross-linking agent and ammonium persulfate as initiator, employing sodium bicarbonate to make a foam structure, where the percentage of cellulose was 40%.The structure and properties of the porous super-absorbent polyelectrolyte film were characterized with FTIR,XRD,SEM and zeta-potential measurement. The performance of cellulose-based porous super-absorbent polyelectrolyte film was investigated and the results showed that the film possessed relatively large capacity of absorbing tap water 656 g/g and high water-retention capability and the gel strength of the film hydrogel in tap water and 0.9wt%NaCl solution could reach 215mJ/g and 423mJ/g,respectively.The hydrogel owned certain elasticity after absorbing water, which was reproducible and environment-friendly.A possible absorbing mechanism was proposed.
