Accelerating Effect of a Novel Dyeing Accelerator in Low Temperature Dyeing of Polyester
The accelerating effect of a novel dyeing accelerator BLB in dyeing of polyester fiber was studied with various dyeing methods and dyeing accelerators.It was found that,with the help of BLB,the dye uptakes of three typical dyes in low temperature dyeing were close to those in high temperature and high pressure dyeing and those in conventional carrier dyeing using methyl salicylate.The effects of dyeing accelerator on the molecule structure and aggregation state of polyester fiber were investigated by FTIR and DSC.It was found that either BLB treatment or BLB dyeing had no effect on the molecule structure of polyester fiber,while they can change the aggregation state of polyester fiber obviously,and the addition of BLB can take a plasticizing effect on polyester fiber.In a word,attributing to its good stability,low toxic,low pollution,and superior application performance,BLB exhibited not only better accelerating effect but also better adaptability to different disperse dyes than other accelerators.
