A New Agent Containing POPA-Si(OCH3)3 for Anti-felting Finishing of Wool with Sol-gel Method
A new anti-felting agent were prepared through the hydrolysis process of alkoxysilane functionalized POPA-Si(OCH3)3.The influence of the procedure was characterized by FTIR.FTIR and TGA measurements were also conducted to confirm the chemical structure of the step products during the hybrids preparation.The anti-felting effect of the wool samples treated with the new agent by pad-dry-cure process was investigated.Results showed that the POPA2000-Si(OCH3)3 agent can endow a better anti-felting effect with the low curing temperature of 120℃,i.e.the area-shrinking rate decreased from 13.44% of the untreated sample to 2.85%.In addition,by using SEM observation,the wool surface morphology also showed a significantly improvement.
