Current Densities inside Numerical Human Body Resulting from Low-Frequency Contact Currents
Current densities inside a numerical model of a human body due to low-frequency contact current are demonstrated in order to investigate the current density distribution inside the body.An anatomically-real Japanese adult male of the human numerical model is used, and the cubic voxel size is 2mm.In this paper, improved calculation method of current density is described, and results obtained when a skin conductivity σ=varies from 10-4 to 10-2S/m are shown. It is concluded that the contact current obtained for σ=10-2S/m is 129μA that is about five times as large as that obtained for σ=10-4S/m.
