Development of Electrical Conductivity Tomography System for Estimating Somatic Fat Distribution

It is useful to know the partial distribution of somatic fat for carrying out the health care,because the excessive accumulation of somatic fat leads to the lifestyle-related diseases.We considered that the visualization of the somatic fat distribution is useful for the support for the health care.Then,we examined the method for effectively carrying out the measurement of the bioelectrical properties distribution using DC electricity and the interpretation of measurement data.The electrical bio-impedance tomography method makes it possible to visualize the local fat distribution.But the conventional system of the electrical bio-impedance tomography is slightly expensive for generalization.Therefore,we have examined the building of the simple measurement and inexpensive system.In this study,we reported the prototype system for estimating the distribution of electrical conductivity in human body.The measurement of the cyrindrical model with this system was carried out.
