The Analysis of Reliability Growth Tests Based on Conversion Factor when Considering Robustness
The determination of prior distribution is a very important problem in Bayesian reliability evaluation. The method of using conversion factor is applied extensively for its easy in calculation, but it has obvious subjectivities. The basic theories of robustness analysis are summarized and the general process of reliability evaluation in exponential distribution using conversion factor is analyzed. Emphasis is placed on the robustness of prior distribution in exponential distribution determined by conversion factor and the corresponding formulas are deduced. An idea that the general form of conversion factor is determined by prior information and the conversion factor is amended by spot information is presented, which lowers subjectivities and improves the accuracy of reliability evaluation. At last, an example is given to show the basic process of analysis and the feasibility of this method.
