Design and Implementation of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Emergency Decision Support System Based on ArcGIS Server
On the basis of advanced WebGIS technologies, using Unified Modeling Language (UML), assisted by GPS (Global Positioning System) technologies, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Emergency Decision Support System (BOGEDSS) was designed and implemented. ArcGIS Server was taken as core of map services management. The system takes large-scale enterprise database Oracle 10g as database management tool, and organizes the raster data, vector data, GPS data and other spatial data into the Oracle database by using Arc SDE. Based on these technologies, a synthetic emergency decision-making support system was designed. In this paper, the structure, design process and main functions are introduced. Besides, the business model and business process of the system are described from the perspective of practical application. Above all, the design and implementation of the BOGEDSS embodies the idea of hi-tech Olympics.
