The Design and Research on Low Temperature Cold Store

The design of low temperature cold store and research on its inner liquid field are very important to instruct food storage at low temperature.The methods of traditional design, numerical simulation and experimental study are used in this paper.Traditional design mainly include refrigeration system and control system. Numerical simulation is used to give the theoretical analysis on temperature reduction characteristic and liquid field,provide reference and basis for experimental study.The practical parameters are gained through experimental study, and compared with the theoretical data.The main refrigeration equipment in cold store is air cooler, and refrigerant used in this system is R22. The net dimension of eold store is 8000mm × 5000mm ×2700mm. The temperature of this cold store could be adjusted from 20℃ to -20℃, and its temperature control precision could achieve ±1℃. The mathematical model of temperature reduction characteristic of cold store is set up, the relation between average temperature of each point in cold store and time is also gained using implicit difference equation and Gauss-Seidel iterative method.The mathematical and physical models of liquid field in low temperature cold store are established in this paper,giving Navier-Stokes equation of fluid flow and heat transfer. The turbulence flow of three-dimensional steady incompressible viscous fluid is analyzed using finite volume method and standard κ-ε two-equation model. Temperature and velocity fields of this cold store are simulated using Fluent, and the results are also analyzed and compared.
