Simulation on Solar-assisted Combined Absorption-compression System for Air-conditioning
The paper describes a LiBr-H2O solar absorption-compression cascade refrigeration cycle. The characters of the cycle are analyzed by numerical simulation. It was found from the results that the refrigeration coefficient of performance (COP) varies greatly in different operation conditions. The results reveal that it is possible to achieve a greater overall coefficient of performance using the cascade refrigeration system than the traditional ones.
