Dynamic Simulation of a Double-effect Parallel-flow LiBr/Water Absorption Chiller
A dynamic model of a double-effect parallel-flow LiBr/water absorption chiller has been developed. Lumped parameter method has been used for the main components to form their mass and energy conservation equations. A 20% linear change of external conditions during 1000s has been added to the model to investigate the dynamic behavior of the chiller. The dynamic simulation results show that it takes about 50 minutes for the chiller to achieve a new steady-state. External and internal heat transfer process and the characteristics of thermal mass have great influences on the systems dynamic behavior.
