Design of a 4K Single-stage Stirling Type Pulse Tube Cooler Precooled by a GM Type Pulse Tube Cooler

摘要：

A single-stage Stirling type pulse tube cryocooler(PTC)precooled by a two-stage GM type PTC is designed to investigate the cooling performance of Stirling type PTC working at liquid helium temperature. Inertance tube in place of other phase shifters is used to improve the efficiency of the Stirling type PTC. Inertance tube and gas reservoir of the Stirling type PTC are placed at the second stage cold end of the GM type PTC for better phase relationship between pressure and mass flow.
