Experimental Study on a Standing-wave Thermoacoustic Engine Driving an RC Load through Acoustic Pressure Amplifier
Experiments on a standing-wave thermoacoustic engine driving an RC (resistance and compliance)load through an acoustic pressure amplifier(APA)have been carried out to study the effect of load impedance and length of APA on the performance of the thermoacoustic system. Experimental result indicates that the acoustic pressure amplification effect of APA is significantly impacted by load impedance. Additionally, influence of APA length on the amplification effect is also discussed.
